Taking place in the fictional city of Nineveh, a rabbi is called to perform an exorcism. It is the same demon that destroyed the scientist’s mother. The scientist, Ben Landry, is now grown and has assumed the alter-ego called SPIRALMIND. The demon has assembled an evil faction whose goal is to destroy SPIRALMND's world one aspect at a time. Dante Evans understands that for the Nephilim to return without question or prejudice, that the human genome must be altered. This purpose is simple, if the human genome is changed to a different form, then the Nephilim will be looked upon as heroes and Governor Dante Evans will be called upon as their ruler. Governor Dante Evans knows that his plan cannot succeed while SPIRALMIND is free to roam the earth. Dante devises a simple ruse, take away Ben Landry's friends, mentors, and true love, and force him to confront Dante on Dante's terms. Dante succeeds in not only breaking Ben Landry's outer circle (his friends), his inner circle (his girlfriend) but the very core which gives him the power to be SPIRALMIND. Dante breaks the spiralmind itself, the connection to build the time-wormhole portals. With Allison's comfort and care, he deals with the death of his mother. He rebuilds the spiralmind, battles the powerful demon of his past, and returns to confront Dante Evans to save his friends and mentors. SPIRALMIND saves his friends and mentors, but Dante kills Allison Wirth and completes his wicked plan.
