Detective Phineas Coen, a black, Jewish transplant from New York City is tasked with solving the case along with his young protégé, Garcia.

I am submitting this novel under my penname, C. L. Bradford because people are going to have a hard time believing a Marketing Manager from Westlake Village, California can write gritty, noir-style crime fiction, but the truth is, I am not a novice to this genre. I wrote a dozen plays that were produced and performed throughout the state of Ohio back in the 1980s, all in this genre. The plays were very successful and well received by audiences. Gritty, crime fiction is my jam.
