About The Author

Patricia Brandon was stricken with very rare paralysis in 2014. At that time, she wrote an inspirational, gritty - even humorous - account of the first year, entitled In The Valley of Achor. She then wrote her first historical fiction novel, The Center of Gravity, which was very positively reviewed, and was awarded a 5-star Highly Recommended commendation from The Coffee Pot Bookclub(UK), as well as a Carrie McCray Memorial Literary Award. Her recently released novel of the same genre, A Rule of Life, has also garnered excellent reviews. Brandon describes both novels as "little-known history, a mystery, and a touch of romance". She smiles, admitting to being a Southern author, "raised, braised, and cured in a charcuterie of the deep South, with its spirited and fascinating characters, pristine landscapes, and complex history" - her adopted motto is, "If you ain't livin' on the edge - you ain't got a view!"
