The Chaperone is the story of Cole Gerringer, a volunteer who led a group of girls out on what was supposed to be a simple camping trip. She ends up leading the girls, together with hundreds of unexpected refugees, after a global catastrophe strands them in the wilderness, confronted by a multitude of sinister threats.
