Prologue: 1886, California. A small mob, lead by a hateful man, lynch a witch. She lets them hang her; she's ready to move on to the next life. Right before he pulls the lever, she curses him. She’ll come to regret that. Jumps to present day: The witch is alive and thriving in modern-day Salem.

The witch’s curse is broken; she can finally die! So she thinks. She accidentally cuts herself, and sees the blood draw back into the wound and close up. No scar, no mark. The resolution of her curse-the reuniting of her spirit with the missing piece that was the white raven-has made her immortal.
