Harrowing story of survival of a family of two, Jewish mother and her teenage son in a communist totalitarian state during historically crucial years 1967-1969 amidst acute poverty, prejudice, discrimination antisemitism and violence, fighting for acceptance in a small town bordering the Soviet Union.
