THE STORY DOES NOT RELY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
It's a love story, either between the lead character and her son and between her and two other men that come into her life. With all the misunderstandings, good moments and difficulties that ensue, along with a very tragic loss, it's a very interesting story for people who love tragic romances.
Fanbase Potential

IT REMINDED ME OF THE MOVIE ALL ABOUT MY MOTHER, BY ALMODÓVAR, WHICH FOLLOWS THE GRIEVING AND RECOVERY PROCESS OF A MOTHER WHO LOSES HER ONLY CHILD IN A CAR ACCIDENT, IN A JOURNEY THAT INCLUDES ENCOUNTERS WITH FRIENDS FROM THE PAST, MUCH HEALING AND THE DISCOVERY OF A NEW LIFE.
What’s New About the Story
The fact that the central romance ends up evolving into a friendship and that the central tragedy doesn't happen to the lead character, but to a supporting one. There is a theme of chauvinism and prejudice against women in the workplace that could be better explored in the story.
Lead Characters
The lead character is a strong and courageous woman that defies conventions by working at a job usually linked to men and who, throughout the book, learns how to be open to love and a wide array of new opportunities, something that can be an inspiration to a lot of readers.
Uniqueness of Story
Not yet. There are some tropes of the genre that could be worked on and some of the dialogue could be better developed in order for the story to improve even further.

Analyst Recommendation
CONSIDER
Justification
Because, as was said before, the story has potential to attract and please many people. There is a subtext about prejudice and chauvinism that is very contemporary and could lead to deeper discussions if the story is adapted to the screen. The narrative would also benefit from some revisions and specific changes, especially in romance tropes that end up rendering some generic moments and some of the dialogues that might be a little predictable. Furthermore, it would be important for the lead character to have bigger conflict in the narrative, since sometimes it feels like most of the action and the mystery develop away from her own personal journey. The letters she writes to her son are great in terms of getting to know her better and could be an interesting asset to the narrative, probably depicted with the help of a voiceover in a version adapted to the screen.
