Lev is dying with his pregnant wife by his side when Dr. Slater comes with a cure for his cancer. Lev enters the Entangler where he is revived by living in two universes. He loses everything in the process while Dr. Slater’s twin brother, Fabian must fight to keep the technology in his own hands. The Entangler will change everything but the western powers want it for themselves.

It is accurate.

The story begins with Mira and Lev living out his last days with Lev wishing he could make it to hold his baby. They are contacted by Dr. Slater who may have a cure to Lev’s bone cancer. The catch is no one has survived the mysterious procedure to date. The world building starts off very strong, explaining the technological advancements that are allowing the premise of the story to take place.

The story is oversaturated with scientific jargon and explanations. There are whole chapters that go off to explain a minor detail. This weighs down the story and takes the audience out of the plot. The writing meanders as well with dialogue and action. This can be avoided by having succinct dialogue. The audience doesn’t need an in-depth explanation about everything, only the most important elements of the story.

THE STORY RELIES HEAVILY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

The hook is that Dr. Slater has created a machine that will reset a person’s body to a time in their lives where they were the healthiest to repair any disease or affliction they currently have. It involves mentally living in two universes as yourself. I would watch the movie for the science fiction element that has been developed well.

This could have a decent sized fan base especially with science fiction lovers. The story is heavily seated in the genre, filled with complex explanations and jargon. The dialogue would need to be streamlined to cater to a wider audience.

This does not have award potential. The overall story is not very unique and the visuals would not be groundbreaking. It is a solid sci-fi story that would entertain audiences but doesn’t go further than that.

The story is original because of the science it is based on. It combines the idea of alternate universes, nanotechnology and biological regenerative technology. The characters are diverse for a western audience with many of them of Southeast Asian descent.

The lead characters do not have many qualities that stand out. The characters fit the stereotypical sci fi roles of male lead, doctor, villain etc.

This is not a rare gem but has many interesting elements that would set it apart from other stories in the genre. The execution of the story needs improvement to make it more concise and comprehensible. It tries too hard to explain all the layers of the science that the story loses its momentum.

CONSIDER

This story is a consider because the science is deeply developed. The premise is solid but the story goes off course many times. The story needs to be streamlined with a focus on a primary plot supported by some of the others. Lev and Mira, the first characters introduced, open the story to meet Dr. Slater. From there we go into a tangent about his unknown, twin brother who then takes a major spotlight in the story. It feels like two completely different stories at times. The main plot could be simplified letting the science be complex and interesting.
