    Accuracy of Book Profile

I do feel that the Script Profile accurately reflects this script aside from the fact that it doesn't mention love or the female characters in any capacity. Because love is an important theme in this script, it would be worthwhile to include Bethany and Lisa's characters in the 'additional characters' section.

    Draw of Story

The opening conference room scene did draw me into this story from the start. The conversation between Reincarnated David and Reincarnated Lyndon is full of important information about the rest of the script that is fascinating from the very start and makes the plot generally quite clear.

    Possible Drawbacks

There are some spelling and grammar errors scattered throughout this script. It would be beneficial to perform a more dedicated proofreading edit. Some of the dialogue, particularly the brief conversation that Bethany and her mother share, also feels a bit forced and unnatural. Reading the dialogue out loud could help determine what sounds natural and what doesn't.

    Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES HEAVILY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

    Primary Hook of Story

The opening conference room scene did draw me into this story from the start. The conversation between Reincarnated David and Reincarnated Lyndon is full of important information about the rest of the script that is fascinating from the very start and makes the plot generally quite clear.

    Fanbase Potential

This project feels like it could have a dedicated and passionate fanbase, but the complex nature of the plot would probably keep the fanbase fairly small. It's likely that enthusiastic science fiction fans would really enjoy this project, but general viewers wouldn't fully understand it.

    Awards Potential

This project could have special effects awards potential, but it's unlikely to have potential in other categories.

    What’s New About the Story

This is already an incredibly original story. The plot in particular is highly imaginative. Some of the relationships in the script don't feel particularly distinct or unique though. Crafting more genuine and personal relationships between David and Lisa and Lyndon and Bethany would help this project feel more unique when it comes to its characters and their motivations.

    Lead Characters

David stands out because of the fragility of his mind. It's interesting to see him wrestle with genius-level ideas, but also struggle with mental illness and psychotic breaks. Professor Lyndon stands out due to his intelligence and determined nature.

    Uniqueness of Story

Though the plot itself certainly feels like a rare gem, this ambitious project doesn't currently feel as cohesive as it could be. If the characters and their relationships were improved, and the structure had a faster pace, this script would feel like more of a rare gem.

    Analyst Recommendation

    WORK IN PROGRESS

    Justification

The characters, relationship dynamics, structure, and dialogue don't feel as strong as the overall plot, the premise, and the thought-provoking themes at play in this script. Improving these aspects will dramatically improve the project as a whole.

    Tips for Improvement

The characters and their conversations would need to feel more distinct and genuine. The relationships at play would also need to feel more unique and personal. The structure would also need a faster, more exciting pace, as some time periods are more interesting than the others. The present day setting, for example, drags at times.

    Brief

Two scientists in three different time periods discover the truth behind the science of reincarnation. Using their groundbreaking discovery, they must work together throughout the decades to save mankind from the unexpected self-imposed eternal destruction that takes place when humans try to live forever.

    What We Liked

This is an incredibly original, ambitious, and imaginative script. The themes are thought provoking and well researched. Anyone who's ever considered life after death, or what truth our dreams may hold will find something to enjoy about this script. The variety of settings makes it visually compelling as well, as the plot never stays in one place or time period for too long.

Film: This is a film script, and I believe that is the correct format for this project. It has a clear beginning, middle, and end that lends itself well to film. The idea would also require quite a large budget, which could be more realistic in the film arena. The project could also work well as a made-for-television sci-fi film or a contained one-season miniseries.

Key points: An original and imaginative premise. Thought provoking themes and messages. Vivid settings. A satisfying ending. Likable characters.

    Synopsis

In the future, reincarnated version of our main characters, Professor Lyndon and David, discuss what must be done to save the world. After humans tried to find a way to live forever, they accidentally split their minds, resulting in eternal catatonic states. Only those who didn’t opt to partake in the fountain of youth remain to try and fix the problem. Reincarnated David and Lyndon must travel back and manipulate their former selves in order to ensure that their previous selves do what they need to in order to save humanity from itself.

In the present day, David is a college student that is assigned to read and translate a journal written in ancient Rome, he finds troubling similarities between himself and the writer. He questions his professor, Professor Lyndon, and the two begin to research the possibility of reincarnation.

The studies are met with a lot of pushback. Bethany, Lyndon’s girlfriend, is angry that he spends all his time on the theories that she finds outlandish. David faces pushback from family and friends who are afraid that he’s slipping back into an unstable mental state. Lyndon loses Bethany and eventually his job, but he doesn’t waver. David struggles to keep his relationship with his romantic interest, Lisa, as strong as it needs to be.

Future versions of Lyndon and David appear and give Lyndon and David of the present day enough information that they are able to make the necessary discoveries about reincarnation.

In the present, David and Lyndon are glad to have accomplished their goal, but they set out to be with their true loves, Bethany and Lisa, as they realize just how important love truly is. In the future, we see that David and Lyndon were successful in their mission. They changed the fate of mankind, essentially saving humanity.
