This is a story of ancestral heritage that has been forgotten in today's society. Folks need to be reminded how most all our ancestors had to live when first settling America, shortly after the American Revolution. It tells of the early Scots-Irish settlers to the Southern Appalachian Mountains, and how they lived among the Cherokee. How it was at that time to mostly live in peace. It is a period piece told by the main character after aging 90 years, and could be filmed almost entirely on the Appalachian Trail. It describes the adventures of two young boys, aged eleven years, one settler and one Cherokee, that live in a beautiful valley called Choestoe, the land where the rabbits dance. A screenwriter from Paramount told me it was a well written book for a movie.
