Development Pitch
First Second Coming's reviews contain words like unique, thought-provoking, and fascinating premise. Combined with terms like brilliant, fast-paced, page-turning and captivating, the book has received acclaim from those who have read it. The 4.5 star reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, sparkle. One reviewer asks: "What do you get when you cross sci-fi/fantasy as in 'Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy,' with a budding romance . . . Mexican drug cartels, murder . . . and an earthly visitation by God?" Another states "the goals of the new god for religious tolerance of all kinds is a recipe for modern life that needs to be widely heard." That "widely heard" comment brought me to TaleFlick. I didn't write this book as a social commentary on today's world, but it is one. Compare the book's theme of cooperation, tolerance and acceptance with all the division, intolerance and rejection we're facing. The book needs a media change, from writing to visualization; from readers to watchers; from a narrow audience to a wide one. Whether that's in the form of a TV show, a movie, or something else is of secondary concern. As an editorial reviewer put it: "Religion turns into politics while the fate of mankind rests in the hands of a couple of journalists. Innovative, irreverent and ultimately thought-provoking, First Second Coming is a . . . romance/fantasy imbued with a sense of wit and wonder." Lets get people to watch, enjoy and ponder our collective fate.
