Development Pitch

Broken Humanity is a short thriller about child trafficking, based in France. It is written from different points of views. There is Denis Papin, a convicted child molester, Andy, a kidnapper and his stepdaughter Alice (8), who helps Andy by luring their victims into his van. You also learn about the parents of Elaine, a young girl abducted by Alice and Andy a while ago and their coping with grief. The three characters are intricated into the same story and you find out about their existing link by the end of the book. The plot could be adapted into a movie. It is fast-paced and gripping; If the topic of child trafficking has already been exploited in movies, the ark of this story is quite original as a girl is used as a bait to lure other children. She is not completely innocent - She will kill an another girl by accident - although she is only a child. This not a manichean approach. The story aims at showing the evil part in these three different characters, their "broken" humanity.
