Accuracy of Book Profile

Book profile reflects the book accurately.

Draw of Story

The author's writing style is captivating and dialogues are witty and well-written. Main characters are charismatic, smart, powerful but also vulnerable. The storyline is surprising and ends are well tied.

Possible Drawbacks

Nothing made me want to put the book down.

Use of Special Effects

THE STORY RELIES A LITTLE BIT ON SPECIAL EFFECTS

Primary Hook of Story

The hook of this story is that even though it involves mysteries and crimes being solved by investigators, characters such as the senator and the b-side actor are described in a ludicrous manner, which adds a fun side to the narrative. It comes in contrast with the paradox of the two paranormal investigators being the most down to earth and skeptical.

Fanbase Potential

It could have a large fanbase if adapted, especially if the lighter tone of the narrative is well-explored.

Awards Potential

It could have awards potential. There is room for interesting effects and scenarios are rich.

Envisioned Budget

What’s New About the Story

The original thing about this story is that the ones hiring investigation services end up to the be the ones whose misdeeds get uncovered - and end up having to hide.

Lead Characters

Lead characters are smart, clever, skeptical and seem to be very down to earth around the bizarre doings of characters hiring their services. Even though they manage to succeed in uncovering the truths, they are also vulnerable and build a bond with common audience as they are also surprised by eccentric behavior.

Uniqueness of Story

The story could be improved if more complex villains are added to the narrative, as senator O'Donavan and Ted DeSouza's motives seem at first very trivial and easily exposed.

Analyst Recommendation

CONSIDER

Justification

Consider it because even though it is a mystery story, there is a lighter side to it. Audience would easily relate to Jessi, Charmaine and Harrison as they uncover bizarre behaviors from people involved in the narrative.
