Tred Newton is a debunker, hired to "prove" that an alien Prometheus is a myth. The clandestine government agent in charge has promised the only thing that could lure Newton to the job -- all of the files on his father's disappearance. But as he follows the case two things become clear: the alien is likely real -- and it was likely the last being to see his father alive.
