Gabrie Jordane and Rakota Toyin are partners in life and partners against crime. Her spouse, Dr. Rakota Toyin is just as fierce, but concentrates more on the science behind their traits and develops treatment plans and medications for their complicated bodies. Proteges, Harper Harlow and Koley Hale, accidentally morph into one being they call HailFire. In the midst of their training, they're faced with the task of figuring out this new way of life. A beautiful Bolivian drug manufacturer has produced a serum that causes her clients to temporarily become super humans. She kidnaps The Toyins in an attempt to make Rakota, a.k.a. Brainstorm, perfect it. Before he can be forced to participate, Caden Chen disrupts her plan by demanding the antidote to cure his addicted twin. A power struggle ensues over the serum and lives are lost. The Extraordinary Abilities Bureau (EAB) must get the situation under control before these fly by night villains ruin the world they're charged with protecting.
