Development Pitch
Following sleeper agent attacks on London in 2019 that threatened US and British national security, Dakota Lake, a key member of Sam Baker's Center for Missing Children, identifies two suspicious and unidentifiable individuals who turn out to have links with Russia. Dakota, a NYU Theater graduate of exquisite beauty, is sent back to London with CIA agent, Eddie Sugar, to assist with trapping the remaining sleeper agents whom they suspect of planning a follow-up attack in the US. Following a money trail, Dakota’s team, not knowing who they can trust and hoping to catch the entire sleeper cell, identifies a female sleeper – abducted as a baby and trained as a terrorist, then planted back on American soil - but are drawn into a trap, losing Sam and his old friend, Tommy, in the process. Taking the rap for not having revealed this threat to national security to the CIA, Dakota is sentenced to four years in prison. A month later, an exploratory US natural gas rig in the Gulf of Mexico goes up in flames. Two years later, Dakota is released, having sat out the COVID-19 pandemic in jail.
