Logline
Connected by a dream, a team of ghost hunters is gathered and sent into a mysterious forest. Once a town, it is now inhabited by only darkness and sorrow. After finding himself at the mercy of the shadow creatures, the team leader is rescued by men he does not know, men who were called by the same dream. But as the ghost hunter plays his camera footage, a priest reads the diary that unleashes the Spirits of Decay. These cloaked figures surround them, their scythes sapping the team of their spiritual energy.

Development Pitch
A movie based on The Warrior's Beckoning would follow the teams as they fight through hordes of shadow creatures. The creatures themselves are diverse and the action fast paced. The story begins with the promise of a typical paranormal adventure. But the plot takes a decisive turn when the the first round is shot. It would have two perspectives, one from the Ghost Hunter, the other from the Warrior. Both teams struggle to contain the paranormal forces that have awakened. In one scene the team is battle Spirits of Decay, which appear as grim reapers. Each blow they land drains their targets life. They can move through walls and floors quickly and reanimate corpses. Another creature the Warrior encounters is a Shadow Raptor. It can breathe fire and disappear and reappear into any connected shadow. There's something new lurking around every corner and the teams become hard pressed to overcome them.
