Development Pitch

Wine Runs Deep is a very unique take on a crime caper. It has everything; danger intrigue, suspense, comedy, romance, and a first class education in wine culture. Women seem enamored with the setting, the romance, and the chemistry between characters, men with the drunken hijinks, the danger and the battles. A movie could easily be made either lighter as more of a rom-com, or darker, into a suspense thriller. The overlying premise is one everyone can relate to, mistakes from your past coming back to haunt them. That's what happens to Beckett, whose life, livelihood, and loved ones are all threatened by former friends. In this fascinating story, an everyday man is faced with unfathomable danger. Facing his own insecurities, Beckett must find a way to fight back and send the villains to prison before the toll is too high. The vineyard/winery setting makes for excellent cinematography. Twists and turns ramp the tension up, setting the stage for two different life and death battles which would make incredible action scenes. Along the way, the colorful characters, intense relationships, hilarious banter, and compelling situations would make for nonstop entertainment.
