Short Summary

The story is about a teenager, Krista, who has lost her family to the undead scourge and needs to find a way to thrive and survive in the apocalyptic world. Two years have passed since zombies first rose, and the creatures have migrated to the West to escape the deteriorating effects of the East.

Since this is the first book in a two-book series, the first story ends with Krista and Quinn successfully taking down the evil regime in North Platte, but they have to figure out how to deal with the backlash from the Families in Florida.
