    Brief

    Pryor Wright’s right wing conspiracy radio show has millions of devout fans who are sure that the
    slurs and wild accusations fired at the liberal left prove him a true patriot. But when his rantings catch
    Maren Garrity’s twin brother in the crossfire, the struggling actress enlists her troupe of fellow
    thespians to teach Wright just how powerful words can be.

    What We Liked

    - Female-led; a strong but flawed woman bent on revenge;
    - It's timely and speaks to the world we live in.
    - A solid supporting cast; diversity in the characters;
    - The story works well as an action comedy with strong political and satirical elements;
    - A series could see the lead tackling a new story per episode, complete with the cast of
    people she works with;
    - Satisfactory conclusion; the good guys win in the end.

    Synopsis

    Pryor Wright is behind the mic of his right-wing conservative radio show, throwing around the rhetoric
    he’s become known for, stirring up the base of his supporters and sowing seeds of hatred and
    bitterness. He has little regard for the impact his words may have on those around him. Like Maren
    Garrity, a 30-year-old out-of-work actress, whose twin brother is in the hospital after being wounded in
    a homophobic attack by men who quoted Wright’s words.
    Maren’s trying to do her job — as an undercover agent at SherFire, a company that gets hired by
    companies to stop counterfeit dealers — but she’s worried about her injured brother. Maren goes
    undercover, as Rita Johnson, trying to catch a counterfeiter called Halil Bakhar. Unbeknownst to
    Maren, Bakhar is also an arms dealer who is about to sell to a white supremacist group, being tailed
    by Homeland Security. They think Rita — Maren — is involved in the arms dealing too, as an illegal
    arms trafficker.
    Maren, on the run, focuses on avenging her brother’s attack. She decides to go undercover as an
    intern who shares Wright’s right-wing views to find his weakness and use it to bring him down. She
    concocts a plan with the help of her friends who are all rehearsing an off-Broadway musical based on
    the Greek play of Antigone, and Maren takes on the persona of Katherine Starr. She interns for Wright,
    learning more about the radio show and what makes him tick. Her every move is followed by FBI
    officers, Cliff and Harry. Maren, as Katherine, gets her friends, who also take on disguises, to convince
    Wright to hire a hitman to hurt his biggest foe, comedian Nate Stevens, who embarrasses and
    shames Wright regularly on TV.
    Maren’s plan to film Wright hiring a hitman is foiled when the tape doesn’t record him making the
    agreement. But her friends still want to help and they try once again to make the revenge plan work
    and get Wright to meet them once again. A showdown takes place at the Delacorte Theatre in Central
    Park, where the FBI, who have tailed Rita - Maren - to the park, catch Wright in the act of hiring a
    hitman. He shoots Harry, with an unloaded gun, but that’s enough to get him arrested. Maren’s hope
    for revenge is realized. The real terrorists who ordered the weapons are arrested, and Maren’s true
    identity as a counterfeit agent is revealed. As she walks out of the police station, ready to get her life
    back on track, FBI agent Harry runs out after her… to ask her out for coffee.
