"Strings" by Roger Simpson
Logline
Strings is a novel based upon a line from T.S. Eliot: “The right deed for the wrong reason”. The story revolves around several characters: a powerful San Francisco man, an ex-cop and his partner (a martial arts expert), and a renegade scientist, among others. Their paths lead them with ever increasing intensity toward a secret underground city in the Sahara where advanced experimentation has created a powerful science and technology surpassing the West to supposedly secure world peace. They realize they must try to halt this peace plan not only created for the wrong reason, but, worse, now in the hands of a hothead who believes that the West can only realize peace by being bought to its knees.
