The Taste of Snow is the story of Nicole Kinders, an eleven-year-old girl living in the Alps of Austria who is challenged with finding magic in a series of upsetting events which all happen during the Christmas season.

Stephen V. Masse was born in Boston, Massachusetts. He wrote his first practice novel at age 13, handwritten into a school composition book.
