Accuracy of Book Profile
The book profile accurately reflects the book.
Draw of Story
The story is a raw look at Royalty's life in Chicago. She was surrounded by love and support but also drugs and violence. The audience is introduced to her on her way to Thanksgiving dinner that is much like everyone's holiday celebrations, especially in the black community.
Possible Drawbacks
The story is told in a disjointed manner. The book profile alludes to her having a personality disorder. The story is told from different perspectives but it wasn't clear if these are different people or her personalities. They all have very distinct voices. The story is very disjointed, jumping for one topic to another. Much of the time, it feels like we are reading Royalty's random thoughts. It is difficult to get a grasp on the story and it is not very concise.
Use of Special Effects
THE STORY DOES NOT RELY ON SPECIAL EFFECTS
Primary Hook of Story
The hook is that Royalty recounts her life on the South side of Chicago and the different phases of her life. I would watch this for a raw look at Black life and culture on the South side of Chicago. Her story is of a love of her community and not trying to escape it. There are many dramatic moments that are entertaining while exploring Royalty's different personalities.
Fanbase Potential
This would not have a large fanbase. As is, it is relatable to a smaller demographic and not entertaining to the mainstream audience. The story needs a focus and plot to give it more structure.
Awards Potential
This could have awards potential for acting as it shows Royalty at different stages of her life. She struggles with illness, change and imprisonment. It is very character driven which allows room for an introspective story.
Envisioned Budget

What’s New About the Story
The story is original because it shows mental illness in the black community. There is a in depth look at like on the South Side of Chicago from a person who still is ingrained in the community. They haven't "gotten out" .
Lead Characters
The lead character is unapologetically herself. She is no holds bar woman who loves being Black and apart of her community. She doesn't mince words about anything and gives a very raw perspective on life.
Uniqueness of Story
This is a gem that needs work. The formatting needs work to effectively tell the story. The honest tone of the story is refreshing and the setting and characters gives a different perspective of life in Chicago.

Film: Studio, Indie, Streaming
Analyst Recommendation
WORK IN PROGRESS
Justification
While the story has many positive points, it has room for improvement (see possible paths below). If you can't change the story at this point, my suggestion is using your notes as a guide to highlight the best aspects of it when taking the next steps, either putting a pitch page together, a treatment, or a presentation.
Tips for Improvement
The story needs to simplify it's objective. There are so many things going on, it isn't clear why there are different voices for different stories. The book profile hints at a mental illness but it isn't clear what is happening. There are many great elements but it needs to be structured better so that the audience will understand the story.
