Short Summary
Nazi officer and military police evacuating a Jewish family from their apartment Berlin. Among confiscated items is a Renoir painting. Entire familly of 4 is taken to relocation station accept a newborn girl who Nazi officer decides to adopt since him and his wife can't get children on their own.
The young boy is the sole survivor of the concentration camps. He is now a wealthy doctor in NY City and recognizes the Renoir painting up for auction as one stolen from his family. He wins the bid. Later that day he gets a mysterious visit from the foreigner who is a son of the Nazi officer
