Logline
Set in the last decade in a rural Southern Maryland town that has always sent its youth to war, A Dead General is about the damages of war, the damages of the desire for war, about the love between fathers and their children and the secrets that keep them apart, and about the damage caused by repressed sexuality. It centers on a couple, Hunter Reed and Ashley Turner, both of whose fathers were Vietnam veterans. The two become compelled to search for the secrets of their fathers’ lives—and deaths—even as the new war affects and afflicts their generation.
