About The Author

The author, using the pen name Joe Smith, is not a pilot and does not pretend to be one. This was written to share the story of working in the air freight industry during a time when the rules were different, things were a lot simpler without cell phones everywhere and internet connectivity wasn’t used as a quality of life measurement. Gulf War I ended months earlier, the world economy and political geographies were experiencing changes, gas was cheap, and now I sound like my dad. Many of the names used in this story are real persons, the events are true.
